Description
Removable Pig Signaler
This pig signaler in the picture is a removable pig signaler with an isolation valve. The connection way of it is welded connection. Then it has a manual reset flag combined with an electrical signal. The flag can be reset manually. This kind of pig signaler is removable. It can be removed by a simple retriever. This intrusive pig signaler is mechanically operated. And it is bi-directional.
The indicating device, the flag, is normally set in the horizontal position and vertical when the pig passed, its condition with a manual latch will reset to the horizontal position. When a pig is moving through production pipework and pipelines the time or location of the pig is known. In addition, it can estimate accumulated debris in front of the pig which can help identify which section of pipe debris is being built up. This is a pig signaler with an isolation valve.
So an isolation valve can control fluid flow, increase efficiency, prevent leakage, and improve safety. The isolation valve helps to prevent any potential leaks from spreading through your system and causing more damage. If a leak occurs it can cause major problems. Later problem handling and maintenance require a lot of manpower and material resources. Besides, it is also time-consuming. Above all, this kind of pig signaler is a good choice for you.

Advantages of Pig Signaler:
- First, it is a bi-directional pig signaler. When the pig passes in the pipeline, no matter from the launch direction or the back direction, the passage of the pig can be normally transferred through the pig signaler.
- Second, the type of those pig signaler is connected by a welded base. Unlike the pig signaler connected with a flange, there is no need for the pipe to have a flange connection for this kind of pig signaler. But the material of the welded base must match the pipe material to be connected. Only the same material that the pig signaler can be welded on the pipe successfully.
- Third, those are pig signalers with an isolation valve. An isolation valve can control fluid flow, increase efficiency, prevent leakage, and improve safety.
Advantages of An Isolation Valve:
- Control fluid flow
Isolation valves make it easy to control the flow of fluid in the piping system. With proper installation and maintenance, these valves ensure uninterrupted optimal fluid flow.
- Increase efficiency
Isolation valves can be used to operate specific lines through parts or entire units. These valves can close a particular pipe when it is not in use and divert fluid elsewhere. This can increase efficiency. Besides it can also save energy and resources.
- Prevent leakage
The isolation valve is an active measure to prevent leakage. It helps you prevent any potential leaks from spreading through your system and causing more damage. This is critical in many industrial environments. If a leak occurs it can cause major problems. Later problem handling and maintenance require a lot of manpower and material resources. Besides, it is also time-consuming.
- Improve safety
Isolation valves are essential to improve the overall safety of the piping system. When installed and operated correctly, these valves reduce accidents and hazards.
Working Principle of Isolation Valve:
The primary function of the isolation valve is to prevent the flow of process media in a fluid handling system to a valve at a given location. It is mainly composed of the valve body, valve cover, valve disc, sealing plate, valve core, seat, and so on. The principle of the isolation valve is that when it is closed, the sealing surface can only rely on medium pressure to seal. In other words, the sealing surface of the gate is pressed to the seat on the other side through medium pressure to ensure the sealing surface. This is called self-sealing. Most gate valves are forced to seal.
CLOSE
When the valve is closed, the ram is pressed against the seat to ensure the sealing surface is sealed. If the gate of the isolation valve moves in a straight line with the stem, it is called a lift stem gate valve. Lifting rods usually have trapezoidal threads. The rotating motion changes into linear motion through the nut at the top of the valve and the guide groove on the valve body, which changes the operating torque into the operating thrust.
OPEN
When the valve is open, the flow path is completely clear when the lift height of the ram is equal to 1:1 of the valve diameter. However, this location cannot be monitored during operation. In practice, the apex of the stem serves as the marker, the position where it cannot be opened, and as the position where it is fully open. To account for the locking phenomenon of temperature changes, a 1/2-1 turn is usually returned to the vertex as the position of the fully open valve. Therefore, the full opening position of the valve is determined according to the position of the ram. There is another type of valve which is called a rotary lever gate valve.
