This pig signaler in the picture is a removable pig signaler with a ball valve. The connection way of it is also a flange connection. It has a manual reset flag combined with an electrical signal. The flag can be reset manually. It is removable, which can be removed by a simple retriever. This intrusive pig signaler is mechanically operated. And it is uni-directional.

This is a detection instrument used to confirm the launch or arrival of cleaning pigs. It can be installed on pipes. It is an intrusive pig signaler which has a unique magnetic system that prevents fluid exchange clogging. As a result, it eliminates the risk of action-seal leaks. In addition, because the flange size is 2 inch, the resisting pressure of this product is designed ranges from ANSI 150# to ANSI 2500#. Finally, the operating temperature of the pig signaler should be maintained between -20℃ and 120℃. We can provide special seals for operating temperatures beyond this range.

It connected with the flange should be installed on the pipe in advance according to the meter installation mode and requirements before installation. For example, there are flange specifications, grade, mounting hole distribution, and so on. Besides, the distance from the top surface of the flange to the inner wall of the pipe shall conform to the customized dimensions.

Advantages of Pig Signaler :

• First, it is a uni-directional pig signaler. When the pig passes in the pipeline, no matter whether the pressure in the pipe is high or low, the trigger can be driven easily. Then the passage of the pig can be normally transferred through the pig signaler. Compared to the bi-directional pig signaler, the uni-directional trigger is easier to be driven.
• Second, the type of it is connected by a flange. Unlike the pig signaler connected with a welded base, there is no need for the pig signaler to have a welded base that has the same material as the pipe. Because only if the material of the weld base is the same as the material of the pipe, they can be welded together. Then the pig signaler can be welded on the pipe successfully.
• Third, this is a pig signaler with a ball valve. A ball valve can improve operating safety efficiently.

Working Principle:

When the valve is closed, the sealing surface can only be sealed by medium pressure. The ram sealing surface is pressed against the seat on the other side by medium pressure to ensure the sealing surface. This is called self-sealing. Most gate valves must be sealed. When the valve is closed, the ram presses against the seat to ensure the sealing surface is sealed. Lifting rods usually have trapezoidal threads. The rotary motion is converted to linear motion through the nut at the top of the valve and the guide groove in the body. Rotational motion turns operating torque into operating thrust.

When the lift height of the gate is equal to the valve diameter, the fluid passage is completely clear after the valve is opened. The location cannot be monitored while running. In practice, the apex of the stem is used as a marker for its fully open position. To account for the locking phenomenon of temperature changes, a 1/2-1 turn is usually returned to the vertex as the position of the fully open valve. Therefore, the full opening position of the valve is determined according to the position of the ram. In some gate valves, the stem nut is set on the gate, and the hand wheel drives the stem to rotate and lift the gate. This valve is called a rotary rod gate valve.
