Removable Pig Signaler- with DBB Valve
An intrusive Pig Signaler with a DBB valve is a device installed on a pipeline to detect the passage of a pig or a pig ball. Pig Signaler are usually set at specified intervals. Normally, each Pig Signaler is equipped with a trigger. When a pig passes, the trigger drives the mechanism to show that the pig has passed this location. The root fracture of the pig signaler under high pressure will cause a rush out of the instrument, which can result in a large amount of leakage. So in order to transport safely, the application of a removable pig signaler with a DBB valve is very important.

An intrusive Pig Signaler is installed inside the pipe to help people know whether the pig passes through the pipe or not. Advantages of DBB Valve:
The DBB valve has two sealing valves. In the closed state, the two sealing valves can be kept sealed at the same time. The valve body in the central cavity (between the two sealing pairs) has a medium-pressure discharge interface. The valve body in the middle cavity (between the two seals) has an interface for releasing medium pressure.
Because DBB valve can provide isolation under high temperature or high pressure. Leakage through the valve can have very serious consequences. So isolation like DBBS is key. DBB valves are also important for maintenance or integrity checks that can monitor leaks.
DBB saves space, reduces the need for expensive multi-valve systems, and provides zero leakage capability from upstream to downstream. Such valves also allow the integrity of the seat seals to be checked. In the oil and gas sector, dual plug and drain valves and dual isolation and drain valves are used in a variety of applications and markets, such as liquefied natural gas, petrochemicals, transmission and storage, natural gas industrial processes, pipelines for liquids and pipelines for refined products.
Features of DBB Valve:
- In the switching process of the valve, the valve body sealing surface does not have any contact with the slide sealing surface. Therefore, the sealing surface is not easy to be rubbed and wear. So the life of the valve is long. In addition, it has the characteristics of small switching torque.
- The valve in the maintenance, do not need to remove the valve from the pipeline, just open the valve bottom cover, and exchange a pair of slide, maintenance is very convenient.
- The valve body is reduced, which can reduce the pressure.
- The sealing area is hard and smooth.
Advantages of Pig Signaler with DBB Valve:
- Firstly, It is a pig signaler with a DBB valve. The advantages of DBB valves have been explained above.
- Secondly, it is a bi-directional pig signaler. When the pig passes in the pipeline, no matter from the launch direction or the back direction, the passage of the pig can be normally transferred through the pig signaler. The bi-directional trigger is easier to be driven than the uni-directional trigger.
- Thirdly, the type of this pig signaler is connected by a flange. Unlike the welded pig signaler, the material of welded base must match the pipe material to be connected. There is no need for the pig signaler with a flange connection to be made of the same material as the pipe or the flange on the pipe. It just has to be made the same size as the flange on the pipe to attach successfully.
Working Principle:
At the bottom of the pig signaler is a trigger that can be triggered in both directions. Then it is inserted inside the oil or gas pipe. As the cleaning pig passes, the trigger is flicked and the connecting rod in the sealing bush is pulled. Then the flag will rotate 90 degrees from the horizontal state to the upright state. People can then determine the location of the cleaning pig by the location of the flag. The flag can be reset by flipping it counterclockwise.
DBB ball valve is a double switch and release function valve. It is suitable for aviation kerosene, light oil, natural gas, liquefied gas, pipeline gas, chemical medium, and other pipelines, as an ideal device to cut off the medium.
The valve has an automatic discharge device. After the valve is completely closed, prevent abnormal pressure boost in the valve chamber and test the effect of the valve. The valve switch indicator is synchronized with the switch position to accurately display the valve switch status.
